Today's post is brief: we are re-emphasizing the two major points that we wrote about going into the holiday break:
1. Master Control and Talk Studio are going offline in February (see 12/21 post).
2. Everyone needs to start shrinking the amount of "stuff" in our work space and around us.
On the second point, here are few more details to help you out:
- A second shredding tote will be here on Tuesday, Jan. 5. Please use the shredding totes for confidential papers only.
- More recycling totes will be arriving on site later this week to help you get rid of non-confidential papers.
- Email Laurie now about storage space you will need for things that you access regularly but that do not fit in your new personal work space. (Subject line, "I need regular access to these things.")
- Purge, purge, purge! A little every day will help us prepare for a smooth move into the new space.
- Start taking personal items home that will not fit in your new work space.
We really want to hear your questions, ideas, concerns about all things construction and move-related. Please post to the comments section below and we'll get back to you with answers!
Suggestion from Vic, Todd & Jonathan: We need a place for Goodwill.
ReplyDeleteThe above covers Shred, Recycle, Store, Purge and Take Home, but we also need a place for things that I want to purge but they're "too nice to throw away" aka Goodwill. We can let volunteers have at it, we can send it to Resource in BTV, whatever. But that stuff is already churning up (e.g. maps, books, cds) and we want to be mindful and not throw things away in haste. Most of that was paid for by listeners at some point and much of it might have value to someone.
