Patti's gone to run a marathon in terrible weather at some hilly location near D.C. Nobody can really match her old skool paint brush photo editing, so on to the business of SCRUM stuff ...
Stuff that’s changed:
On-air clock have been installed in the content space and TOE. Two other clocks will be ordered - to be located near programming and a second one in the content area.
Temperature control system is freaking out. NCC has bypassed the system for the timing being until things can be worked out. Working from thermostats right now.
Some temporary acoustic panels have been moved to the large mezzanine conference room. Our architect is working on designing for all the mezzanine spaces, as well as the ceiling below the mezzanine. These will take about two weeks to get built and installed.
Acoustics in the audio engineer spaces is being looked at. We’ll test the space with some acoustic panels to see how the sound is inside, and outside the offices.
Tough odors and noise today. Noise is coming from concrete grinding in Studio One. They’ll be working, and making noise, for about another hour today. Everyone’s patience and flexibility is really appreciated. We’ve had people move into an amazing space, however our neighbors continue to be a full fledged construction zone. Sorry.
Stuff that stays the same for now:
Everything that stayed the same as of yesterday's post.

Staff Questions at the Scrum?
There is a projector that lives in Performance - will there be one in the new meetings rooms too?
We are planning for the long-term solution of digital displays instead of projectors. Fancy! However while that is coming together, the projector from the old conference room can be used in any of the meeting rooms. It's currently in the cabinet in the small mezzanine conference room.
As we are learning what the all the new meetings spaces are are called, could we have some signs to identify which is which? And could we put the capacity specs of each room in Zimbra?
Todd is working on getting the capacity specs for each room into Zimbra and yes, we will work on getting signs up for the new meetings spaces.
What about the "Crows Nest" - can we use that?
Yes, you can book it in Zimbra now. There is no furniture in there yet as we figure out the right furniture solution for that space. However we are considering putting some basic chairs up there in the meantime.
When will the cafe but ready?
The cafe is still planned to be available on April 18th, but on that day there will still be things that are unfinished in there (delays due to waiting for materials).
What about the pantry and community space/library space - when do those get closed in?
We are hoping that next week the pantry will get closed but the library will take a bit longer as we figure out the best solutions for that room's front facade.
How long will we be Scrumming?
We will plan to SCRUM into the week of the 18th and expect that by then it will make sense to return to weekly blog posts for communication purposes.
Can those thermostats be turned up? The newsroom seems way too cold for a propped door to be the sole culprit.
