Scrum notes - April 7

Green Room, 1:15 p.m., be there or be square! Also, please remember to send any issues, thoughts, concerns or appreciations to Punchlist@vpr.net.

Think of all the coats we can hang in here next week!!!

Stuff that’s changed:

  • Claiming your last personal items - clarification! For everyone who has already moved, April 13 is your last chance to retrieve the stuff you left behind at your old desk. If you haven't moved yet, your deadline is April 15.
  • Stop, hey, what's that sound? Neagley and Chase are building acoustic panels for the conference rooms on the mezzanine - this should help the sound quality up the there.

Stuff that stays the same for now:

  • No one should be using the new front entrance yet - not to come, or leave, or loiter. This is a construction area, not an entrance.
  • Speaking of which, hard hat areas are still in effect for the lobby, Studio One, cafe and everything behind the glass. This means, you must wear a hard hat to enter these areas. Because they are "hard hat areas." No exceptions.
  • The regular old front entrance is still the way you should come into the building until Monday, April 18.

Punch List and staff questions:

Noise from Office Environments is loud and came as a bit of a surprise, what’s up with that?
So true, sorry for that. It’s difficult at times for us to understand what a certain job will take and if there will be noise. We’ll work at doing better.

It’s cold in the new building, particular in the large open area. Can anything be done?

The culprit appears to be the doors that the contractors need to prop open when they move materials in and out of the building. The Commission on Mechanical Systems is holding a summit today, and Laurie is our delegate to argue for the right of those who are out in the cold.

Jen lives dangerously!
At the bottom of the TOE stairs is Jen's desk, and there is a question about whether the edge of the glass topper there could be a safety issue. We're ordering an end piece to cap it off.
