Scrum notes - March 30

Let there be light! Nice morning view from Leanne's new desk.

The scrum snaps to at precisely 1:15 and wraps up quickly, the best kind of meeting! Here's what we learned in today's Green Room meetup:

Stuff that’s changed: 

• Thermostat in "TOEF" wing was misbehaving (this is Technology, Operations, Engineering & Facilities, also known as "Where We Ate Pie That One Time"). A technician worked on it today, and the temperature should be more comfortable going forward.
• Fax* lines: items faxed to 655-2799 will now print in the new ColorQube at the bottom of the TOEF stairwell. The news fax 655-1801 is temporarily forwarded to go there as well. 
• You have until April 15 to claim any remaining items from your old desk.

* Fax: this is a technology for transmitting words and images that used to blow people's minds and now makes people ask, who still faxes things? Apparently, plenty of people. The fax lines stay!

Stuff that stays the same for now: 

• hard hat area is lobby, cafe, and Studio One - all behind glass doors
• temporary construction doors at end of long hallway can remain unlocked 
• parking 
• bathrooms 
• entrances, keys/codes 
• mailboxes 
• kitchen 
• deliveries 

Punch List additions: 

• We have a passle of Veri-desks, and we're looking into how to repurpose them - possibly in the LMA rooms.
• A fine dust is settling around the work spaces near the lobby from the sanding that's been done recently. We're looking into preventing that.

All this sunlight flooding into the new space is hard to get used to. Does workers comp cover problems extending from Vitamin D overdose?

It's true, sunlight can be disorienting after years of working without windows or access to the outdoors. As demonstrated in the 1956 classic The Mole People, when underground civilizations fail to evolve, they can become highly sensitive to light. We feel confident that you'll adapt quickly.
