Scrum Notes - April 5

People on the move: no one this week! the final moves are all next week. Only nine to go!

MEETING ROOMS ARE ONLINE!!

• Conference and meeting rooms are going into Zimbra today. Look for an email from Todd tomorrow that explains the temporary names and descriptions of which rooms are located where. Then get bookin!

Other stuff that’s changed:

• CD archive cabinets for news, Vermont Edition and programming are now in Master Control
• Two whiteboards have rolled into the new building. One will be test driven by Vermont Edition, which plans to put up velvet ropes and charge admission to anyone who wishes to gaze upon it lovingly. Heather has the other whiteboard. She says you can look at it for free. (A third board was delivered damaged and will be replaced.)
• Phones are getting installed in the large and small conference rooms, and two of the LMA rooms. Each IP phone costs $600 (dang!) so we're not sprinkling phones around every corner of the building
• The small mezzanine conference room will host the daily news meeting from 10:45-11:00 a.m.
• The trailer is scheduled to leave the week of April 11 (also known as CAKE WEEK) 
• Two new sit-to-stand mats have arrived from another vendor, ask Kathleen and Mitch how they like them!

Staff Q & A:  

Where will the water coolers go?
Two more are coming to the new building: one by the sliding barn door LMA rooms, and one up in the Mezzanine (and the current water cooler stays in the Green Room).

Can we get coat hooks at our desks?
We'd love to get away from people having coats hanging around at their desks and chairs. Please use the coat rack at the TOE entrance for now, and look forward to the big new coat space in the reception lobby that we can use very soon.

Can we use dry-erase markers to write on the glass above our cubes? Instead of using post-its or whatnot? 
Yes, but be cautious: There are "dry erase" markers and "wet erase" markers. Dry erase markers will wipe right off, super easy - go for it! Wet erase markers (remember old-school overhead projectors? those used wet erase markers) will make a bigger mess and won't wipe off without water, cleaning, etc.

I love my standing mat from old desk, can I keep it?
