| THIS is the WiFi router in the Music Library. |
The fall migration is underway from the new building to the historic building. Thank you, Todd, for getting everyone online and able to work through this transition.
News you can use:
Current status:
Kari, Linda and James are moved into their temporary digs in the conference room off the former lobby. Walter and Reuben are preparing to move today. Today and tomorrow, finance begins to move into the seats that were just vacated by Music. (Except for Farryn, who is totally ahead of the curve and already moved!)
Reminder on next moves:
- Oct 5-7: Furniture movers will be dissembling the row of desks where Admin & Finance currently sit; this will make some noise
- Oct. 10: The next set of staff to move desks is Development. The complete schedule is here.
Reminders to people who are moving:
- your manager should have communicated detailed instructions to you; s/he is your first stop if you have any questions
- take your under-desk-filing-cabinet(s) with you!
- CLEAN your desk after you move out; a coworker will be moving in shortly
- do you need boxes to help move? There's a stash of boxes in the TOE wing; ask Laurie
Building updates:
- Studio One doors: they close automatically! PLEASE DO NOT FORCE THEM OR TRY TO CLOSE THEM MANUALLY. The right side must be opened first, then the left will open. The left side will close first, followed automatically by the right. Right left, left, right.
- Sliding door for Talk & Master should be installed end of next week; this will take one day.
- Display case in the reception desk area will be replaced next week.
This weekend:
Anyone working this weekend will need to enter through the new employee entrance near the bike rack. This weekend the painter will be painting the steel casing in all three entryways, as well as doing more touch-up work.
| Music camp! As seen through the glass. |
This is where you can find the Music staff for the next two weeks. We all THANK YOU for being agreeable to moving twice in a short period of time (which makes three moves over the past year) -- your adventure in Music Camp makes all the other desk moves possible.
